OKTA AD – Skopje, following the example of Hellenic Petroleum Group, has begun the process of transforming from an oil company into a modern energy company that will add to its portfolio electricity generation from renewable sources and energy supply and management to its customers. At the end of August, the photo voltaic power plant that OKTA donated to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies was launched. OKTA will soon start producing electricity from the 100kV photovoltaic power plant installed in Strumica. Principal of the team tasked with introducing the company to the electricity market is Risto Janevski, Director of Strategic Planning and Development at OKTA. Janevski is a graduate electrical engineer and doctor of science in this field, and has been at OKTA for 23 years.
