SOS Children’s Village Macedonia – 25 years of dedication to children, young people and families
SOS Children’s Village Macedonia marks 25 years of dedicated work in supporting children, young people and families across the country. Throughout its work, the organization has helped change 6,090 lives, providing care, support and new opportunities for children without parental care, young people and families at social risk.
This milestone highlights the organization’s continuous mission – that no child should grow up alone. Through programmes for family care, youth support, psychological assistance, counselling and family strengthening, SOS Children’s Village Macedonia continues to create conditions in which every child can grow in a safe, supportive and caring environment.
SOS Children’s Village introduces modern methods for supporting children and families
SOS Children’s Village Macedonia invests in modern approaches and continuous professional development for experts working with children, parents and foster caregivers. Through training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and DDP Parenting, professionals from several institutions improve their knowledge in working with children who have experienced trauma.
These methods focus on relationships, emotional safety and building trust between the child and the adult caring for them. The activities are implemented within the regional project “Right to Family II”, with the aim of developing a coordinated and high-quality support system. Through this approach, SOS Children’s Village Macedonia contributes to safer, more professional and more consistent care for children and families.
“Riding with Heart” – community support for every child
SOS Children’s Village Macedonia and Moto Club “Vepar” implemented the initiative “Riding with Heart – because family is the engine that moves us”, sending a strong message about the importance of family, care and community support. As part of the activity, more than 100 motorcyclists and supporters took part in a motorcycle parade through Skopje.
The initiative emphasizes the importance of belonging, safety and support for children and young people growing up without parental care. Through activities of this kind, SOS Children’s Village Macedonia continues to raise public awareness about solidarity and shared responsibility, reminding the community that every child deserves to grow up with the feeling that they are not alone.
Support and counselling office for parents and children opened in Kavadarci
SOS Children’s Village Macedonia opened a support and counselling office for parents and children in Kavadarci, with the aim of providing free professional support to families from Kavadarci and the Vardar region. The space is intended for parents and children who need advice, guidance, understanding and support in dealing with different family and developmental challenges.
The initiative is part of the project “Right to Family II” and is implemented in cooperation with the Municipality of Kavadarci. The office represents an important step in strengthening community-based services, with a focus on positive parenting, mental health and children’s wellbeing. Through such local services, SOS Children’s Village Macedonia brings support closer to families and contributes to prevention, stability and a safer childhood.

Aleksandra lives somewhere between a content calendar, a press release and ten open WhatsApp groups. She knows how to turn ideas into campaigns, campaigns into conversations, and “we need this urgently” into something that looks like it was planned for weeks.
Aleksandra knows how to make a message sound strong, polished and impossible to ignore. She brings structure, media instinct and PR experience to the moments when brands need to say things right.
Hristijan is the reason “just make it look good” actually becomes something that looks good. He turns ideas into visuals, visuals into identity, and client feedback into design without losing his mind — most of the time.
Biljana keeps the whole Element PR machine moving, organized and slightly scared of deadlines — in the best possible way. She connects people, projects and chaos into something that actually works.
